In Argentina, WhatsApp has become the most popular instant messaging application with 93% of Internet users utilizing it for communication. With WhatsApp, users can connect through text, audio messages, calls, and video calls. The app is also commonly used to create groups with shared interests, such as parents of children at the same school or members of a condominium.
One issue that many WhatsApp users face is the storage space on their mobile devices becoming cluttered with photos and videos received through the app. To avoid overloading their devices, it is recommended to transfer these files to a computer. Previously, this was done using USB cables or cloud storage like Google Drive. However, a new feature has been added to allow users to create a chat with themselves on WhatsApp to easily transfer files between devices.
To use this feature, simply open the WhatsApp app and start a new chat by searching for your own name or phone number. Attach the files you want to transfer, then open WhatsApp Web on your PC and scan the QR code to pair with your mobile device. In the chat with yourself on WhatsApp Web, download the files sent from your mobile device.
For smooth file transfer, make sure you have a stable WiFi connection and select the HD option when sending files to maintain their quality. If transferring a large number of files, using a cloud service or an external hard drive may be more efficient than relying solely on WhatsApp’s built-in feature.
Overall, WhatsApp remains an essential tool for communication in Argentina and its features continue to evolve to make life easier for its users.
