WhatsApp Introduces New System for Managing Storage and Freeing Up Space on Platform

Free up storage space easily with WhatsApp for Android in Chats and Channels

WhatsApp has recently introduced a new system for users to track and manage their storage on the platform. This feature includes two tabs – Chats and Channels – making it easier for users to free up space used by images, documents, videos, and other files. Developed by Meta, this messaging service is part of a larger effort to simplify the process of managing storage and freeing up space on WhatsApp.

Within the settings section of WhatsApp, users can now find a new tab called ‘Manage Storage’. This tab shows the storage in use, free storage, network usage, and automatic file downloads. It also lists the Chats with saved contacts and their sizes.

Recent updates by the company have added new filters to the storage section, allowing users to distinguish between space used by Chats and Channels. Additionally, a new tab called ‘All’ has been introduced, combining both Chats and Channels. This update aims to help users focus on specific types of content and identify conversations or channels that consume the most storage space.

Overall, this new feature is designed to make managing storage on WhatsApp easier than ever before. With its intuitive interface and helpful filters, users can quickly clean up space on their devices without sacrificing functionality or convenience.
