Shawnee Sports Complex to host 2024 Eastern Regional NCS

The 2024 Eastern Regional NCS hosted by US Youth Soccer is set to take place at Shawnee Sports Complex in Kanawha County, West Virginia from June 27 to June 30. This event, co-hosted by Barboursville Soccer Complex, will feature 232 teams competing for the regional championship. It’s the fifth time Shawnee has been selected as the host of this event and it’s expected to have a $32 million economic impact on the region.

West Virginia is well represented in the competition with 16 teams vying for the regional title. State Commissioner Ben Salango expressed his excitement about hosting this event and hopes to see great performances from local teams. Kanawha County Commission President Lance Wheeler commended all those involved in making the event a success, especially after hosting US Youth Soccer just a week earlier.

With over 10,000 people expected to attend, the excitement is palpable. Matches will be held at both Shawnee Sports Complex and Barboursville Soccer Complex, with championship games taking place at Shawnee. The Eastern Region includes teams from 15 State Associations, showcasing talent from all over the region.
