Beauregard Health System recently held their second annual Wellness Without Walls event in DeRidder, Louisiana. This year’s event brought together community partners and the public at the War Memorial Civic Center to promote health and wellness within the DeRidder community.
Attendees enjoyed free food, drinks, and had the opportunity to win door prizes. The main objective of the event was to address health disparities and gaps within the community through health screenings and education initiatives. Dr. Christian Armetta emphasized the importance of a healthy community in preventing chronic diseases, by offering education on disease processes, they hoped to minimize the prevalence of such illnesses within the community.
The Wellness Without Walls event served as an opportunity for community members to learn about Beauregard Health’s services in a convenient and accessible location. Overall, by bringing together healthcare providers, community partners, and the public, Beauregard Health System is helping to prevent and manage chronic diseases for a healthier future.
