The Woodlands Art Gallery & Studios recently hosted an opening reception for the “Vibrant Visions: The Abstract World of John Austin Stone” art show, featuring abstract art by Jay Stone. The event took place on May 16th, drawing in attendees who had the opportunity to view the art collection, meet the artist, and enjoy refreshments.
The Woodlands Art Gallery & Studios is a unique space that has been described as more of a “home in the woods” rather than a typical art gallery. Owner Emily Chiles Startz has created an atmosphere that is cozy and welcoming, with many of the furnishings in the space being from her former home. As an artist herself, she opened the gallery to showcase not only her own work but also that of regional artists.
The gallery is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with Sundays and Mondays closed for rest. To learn more about upcoming shows and events at The Woodlands Art Gallery & Studios, visit their website at www.woodlandsartandstudios.com.”
