Waynesboro business rape case: Suspect arrested and charged with assaulting woman

A man from Petersburg, Jamie Chacon, is facing charges of rape and forcible sodomy after an alleged assault in a Waynesboro business last summer. The incident took place on July 23 in a backroom at the Eagle Game Room on West Main Street. The business has since closed down.

Chacon, initially charged with rape in September and currently being held at Middle River Regional Jail in Verona, has now been indicted by the Waynesboro grand jury on two additional charges of forcible sodomy. He is scheduled to face trial on September 17 in Waynesboro Circuit Court.
