Water Utility Industry Turns to Blackline Safety for World-Class Lone Worker Solutions

Australian water utility company Envirotech Online chooses Lone worker safety technology for employee protection.

Blackline Safety Corp. has secured a new AUS $1.4 million deal with an Australian water utility provider, marking the latest in a string of contracts with water utility providers in recent years. The water utility organisation commissioned a third-party analysis that identified Blackline Safety’s devices as the world’s best lone worker solution, leading them to choose Blackline, supported by their Australian Channel Partner, to supply the Blackline lone worker safety app and G7c cloud-connected devices.

The G7c wearable device is equipped with innovative features such as an SOS latch, fall and no motion detection, and real-time connectivity, providing personnel with a crucial lifeline in safety-related incidents. With half of the UK’s water and wastewater organisations already protected by Blackline’s cutting-edge instruments, workers in the water utility industry face various dangers at work, including exposure to explosive or toxic gases, adverse weather conditions, working in confined spaces, falls, confrontations with customers, and working alone in remote locations with poor cellular coverage.

Peter Attalla, Blackline Safety’s Vice President of International Sales, commented on the trend of utility companies choosing Blackline devices for their employee protection needs. He noted that more utility companies are opting for Blackline devices because they want the best to protect their people. Utility companies appreciate the turnkey solution offered by Blackline, which eliminates the need for expensive infrastructure or complicated setup. The contract also includes three years of monitoring services provided by Blackline’s Safety Operations Center, which is available 24/7 and can respond to critical safety incidents within seconds.
