Volunteers at Lee Health: Dedicated and Compassionate Members of the Mission-Driven Team

Lee Health expresses gratitude to its volunteers.

In honor of National Volunteer Week, I want to express my gratitude for the dedicated volunteer workforce at Lee Health. Our volunteers contribute to almost every department in our hospitals and offices across the health system and community-based locations, both in patient care and non-patient care roles.

Many of our volunteers are former patients or family members of patients who have personally experienced our care and are eager to give back. One such individual is Reba George, who decided to become a volunteer after her positive experience as a patient. Her story can be found at . At Lee Health, a medical or nursing background is not required to volunteer—you simply need a desire to make a difference and assist others. Some of our volunteers have shared their reasons for choosing to volunteer with us, which can be viewed at .

We deeply appreciate the efforts, support, kindness, and companionship of our volunteers. They are an essential part of our mission-driven team. If you are interested in volunteering at Lee Health, we encourage you to join us.
