Yves Bissouma of Tottenham subjected to teargas during robbery outside Cannes hotel

Mali and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Yves Bissouma, was the victim of a violent hold-up outside his hotel in Cannes, France. At the age of 27, Bissouma was returning to his luxury hotel on the Croisette with his partner in the early hours of Sunday morning when two hooded men approached him and his companion.

In an attempt to seek refuge inside the hotel, Bissouma was attacked with tear gas by the assailants. The perpetrators then stole his prized watch, worth an estimated 300,000 euros. Despite attempts to defend himself, Bissouma was left shaken by the ordeal.

Bastien Caire, Bissouma’s lawyer, declined to comment on the incident as the police investigation into the robbery is ongoing. The footballer’s harrowing experience serves as a reminder that even professional athletes can face unforeseen dangers in seemingly safe environments.
