Vietravel Airlines Reports First Quarterly Net Profit of Over 10 Billion VND After More Than Three Years of Operation.

Increased ticket prices lead Vietravel Airlines to report first-ever profit

Vietravel Airlines, a subsidiary of the travel agency Vietravel, has recently reported its first quarterly net profit of over 10 billion VND after more than three years of operation. The airline’s revenue exceeded 172 billion VND in March alone, an increase of 54% compared to the plan, resulting in a total collection of over 491 billion VND in the first quarter, marking a 42% increase. This profitable quarter comes at a time when domestic air ticket prices have been on the rise due to challenges such as engine maintenance and increased input costs.

Despite these obstacles and operating with a fleet consisting of only 3 narrow-body A321s, Vietravel Airlines has managed to turn a profit. The company is currently aiming for revenue of nearly 1,050 billion VND in the second quarter while expanding its flight network and frequency both domestically and internationally. This includes charter flights to destinations like Japan and potential routes to Thailand, Taiwan, China, and Korea in the near future.

Vietravel Airlines is the first airline to announce its first quarter business results, setting an example for others in the industry. As the company continues to grow and expand its operations, it aims to solidify its position in the market and capitalize on opportunities for further growth and success.
