Vietnam’s Creative Startup Ecosystem: Techfest Quang Nam 2024 Promotes Intellectual Property and Global Connections

Techfest Quang Nam 2024 Commences

Nearly 400 booths showcased innovative startup products and typical OCOPs from various provinces and cities at the 5th Creative Startup Week (Techfest Quang Nam 2024) held in March 24 Square, City Tam Ky. The event, which had the theme “Intellectual property and digital technology – Creative startup platform,” opened on June 6.

The Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Hoang Minh highlighted Vietnam’s strong development of its startup ecosystem and emphasized the importance of intellectual property protection and global market access for entrepreneurs. Techfest Quang Nam 2024 was seen as a significant event connecting and promoting collaboration within the creative startup ecosystem in Quang Nam province and beyond.

The event featured forums on entrepreneurship at international and national levels, with the participation of central and neighboring provincial startup support organizations, as well as international and Vietnamese startup experts. There were also seminars on intellectual property and digital technology. Nearly 1,000 startup products, ideas, OCOPs, rural industries from different provinces were showcased through over 400 exhibition booths.

Ho Quang Buu, Acting Chairman of Quang Nam province, described Techfest Quang Nam 2024 as a new upgraded model to promote the goals of its startup ecosystem. The event aimed to encourage intellectual property protection and trade connections while emphasizing the importance of intellectual property in the digital era.

Techfest Quang Nam 2024 served as a platform to support and promote creative startups while being considered a significant national and international event aimed at realizing the goals of Vietnam’s Government’s startup project. With various programs and support mechanisms in place, Quang Nam province aimed to build a robust intellectual property system that will advance its digital technology-based startups’ ecosystem.
