President To Lam welcomed ambassadors and charge d’affaires from the EU and its member countries

President To Lam underlined the significance of the EU and its member states as key partners of Vietnam during a gathering with Ambassadors and Charge d’Affaires. He conveyed appreciation for the congratulations received and underscored the successful implementation of cooperation agreements between Vietnam and the EU.

During the meeting, President To Lam welcomed the Ambassadors and Charge d’Affaires of the EU at the Presidential Palace, acknowledging the strategic partnerships that Vietnam has established with various EU member countries. He urged both sides to continue exchanging delegations at all levels to deepen cooperation and foster political trust.

Both Vietnam and the EU stand ready to serve as a bridge between each other and their respective regions, promoting cooperation through the ASEAN-EU Strategic Partnership framework. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to resolving disputes in the East Sea peacefully and in accordance with international law.

EU Ambassador Julien Guerrier lauded Vietnam as an essential partner for the EU in the Asia-Pacific region and highlighted the potential for further collaboration in areas such as trade, investment, green economy, and climate change response. He presented congratulatory letters expressing confidence in the burgeoning friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the EU.
