Vestas unites tech and manufacturing with global procurement for enterprise-wide industrialization

Vestas brings together senior management team to integrate technology and operations

Vestas is set to unite its technology and manufacturing with global procurement into one organization known as the technology and operations organization (CTOO). This new organization will be headed by current CTO, Anders Nielsen, with the aim of creating an enterprise-wide industrial system within the company.

The implementation of the united CTOO organization is expected to be completed during the third quarter of this year. Henrik Andersen, CEO of Vestas, has expressed optimism about this organizational change, stating that it will help accelerate ramp-up and industrialization efforts both within Vestas and in the industry as a whole. Andersen is particularly pleased that Anders Nielsen will continue to lead Vestas’ industrialization initiatives, recognizing the significant contributions of Tommy Rahbek Nielsen, who has been with Vestas for over 25 years.

Tommy Rahbek Nielsen’s role as COO was crucial in navigating Vestas through the challenges of the pandemic, and he played a key role in developing the COO organization to a level that enables the company to take the next step forward. The announcement of the united CTOO organization marks a strategic step in Vestas’ organizational evolution, aimed at fulfilling customer commitments and improving operational efficiency.
