RTC sells Verdantas to Sterling

Verdantas, a science, engineering, and consulting services provider based in Tampa, has recently been sold by Miami-based investment firm RTC Partners to Sterling Investment Partners. The transaction’s financial terms have not been disclosed, but the management team of Verdantas and its employees will retain significant equity stakes in the company.

RTC Partners co-founder and co-managing partner Christopher Lee expressed his appreciation for the Verdantas team in a statement. He highlighted their strong growth strategies, including organic expansion and strategic acquisitions, as well as their emphasis on building a collaborative and engaging work culture.

The legal counsel for RTC Partners was Greenberg Traurig, LLP. Cohn Reznick, LLP and CliftonLarsonAllen, LLP served as accounting and tax advisors. On the other hand, Dechert LLP and Seyfarth Shaw LLP acted as legal counsel to Sterling Investment Partners while Alvarez & Marsal LLP acted as a tax advisor to them.

Sterling Investment Partners is known for its investments in the middle market while RTC Partners focuses on investments in the lower middle market. This transaction represents a successful exit for RTC Partners while paving the way for further growth and development for Verdantas under Sterling Investment Partner’s stewardship.
