The long-awaited sequel to Tim Burton’s iconic 1988 comedy-horror hit, Beetlejuice, is set to make its world premiere at the 81st Venice International Film Festival. The film will debut on August 28 and will be screened out of competition.
Beetlejuice alums Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O’Hara are set to reunite for the sequel, along with new cast members Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Jenna Ortega, and Willem Dafoe. The Warner Bros. release will hit North America on September 6 and internationally on September 4.

He praised Burton for his extraordinary visionary talent and masterful realization, noting the festival’s honor and pride in hosting such a creative work.
