Valley Telecom Group Grants $5,000 to Bonita Elementary School for Technology Upgrades and Provides College Scholarships

Bonita Elementary School is set to receive a $5,000 grant from Valley Telecom Group, led by CEO Troy Judd and Director/Secretary/Treasurer Joe Chapin. The funds will be used to upgrade the school’s technology by purchasing MacBooks and monitors for the classrooms.

Valley Telecom Group has a strong focus on supporting rural school systems and community organizations. In addition to providing grants for schools like Bonita Elementary, the company also offers funding for extraordinary needs as they arise. The Valley Telephone Cooperative Foundation also allocates over $100,000 in college scholarships to students in their service area, which covers Southeastern Arizona and Southwestern New Mexico.

These scholarships are given for one year at a time, paid per semester. Students can receive up to five years of scholarship funding for undergraduate studies, and up to three years for graduate studies. This commitment to supporting education in the community is a key aspect of Valley Telecom Group’s mission.
