Valencia CF and LALIGA have teamed up to introduce NFC technology at Mestalla, allowing VCF Socio season ticket holders to use their digital passes at the stadium turnstiles. The switch from QR codes to contactless NFC technology will streamline entry to the stadium for fans, making it smoother and more secure.
Season tickets are now available digitally through QR codes, but with this new system, they can be stored on mobile devices like phones or smartwatches and scanned at the turnstiles using a circular icon on the contactless reader. This eliminates the need for physical tickets, reducing the risk of loss or theft, and ensuring smoother access to the stadium.
For fans without NFC-compatible devices, the digital pass also includes a QR code for entry. To download the NFC passbook, fans should visit the Member Portal at https://portaldelsocio.valenciacf.com, log in with their ID and PIN, click on ‘Download Digital Pass,’ and follow the instructions sent via email. It’s important to remember that only one entry is permitted per game, there may be identification checks at the turnstiles, and selling tickets to third parties is prohibited.
