UVA Health Children’s Radiothon: Stories of Courage and Compassion Share Light During Week of Giving

Charlottesville Radio Group to Hold Radiothon Benefitting UVA Health Children’s

The Cares for Kids Radiothon is taking place at UVA Health Children’s as part of UVA Health Children’s Week of Giving. This event will be held on Wednesday and Thursday on five radio stations owned by the Charlottesville Radio Group.

During the radiothon, listeners will hear inspiring stories from patients’ families, UVA Health Children’s child-life specialists, and hospital leaders. The stations airing the radiothon include 97.5 3WV, Z95.1, 106.1 The Corner, 92.7 C-Ville Country, and Newsradio 98.9 and 1070 WINA.

Money raised from the radiothon will support various initiatives such as expanding the neonatal intensive care unit and pediatric intensive care unit, implementing a family-centered care program, developing the UVA Health Children’s Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Care clinic, enhancing the pediatric cardiology program, and strengthening the pediatric cancer program.

The event is sponsored by several organizations including the Children’s Hospital Advisory Board, Dairy Market, Crutchfield, Flow Automotive, Children’s Dentistry of Charlottesville, Hunter Wyant Insurance, The Forum, Birch & Bloom, Rent-A-Center
