Utah Student-Athletes Continue to Excel in Graduation Rates with 155th General Commencement Ceremony

University Commencement Honors 118 Utah Student-Athletes Representing Every Sport

The University of Utah is set to host its 155th general commencement on Thursday, May 2, recognizing graduates from Fall 2023 and Spring and Summer 2024. Among the graduates are 118 current or former student-athletes who have earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees. This event will be livestreamed at 6 p.m. MT on Thursday at www.utah.edu/live.

Utah’s student-athletes have a high graduation rate, with a 94-percent figure in the most recent NCAA GSR Report released in December 2023. This rate marks the sixth consecutive year that Utah has scored 93-percent or higher, ranking second in the Pac-12 behind Stanford.

The student-athletes from various sports programs, including baseball, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, cross country, track & field, football, golf, gymnastics, lacrosse, skiing, soccer, softball, men’s and women’s swimming & diving, men’s and women’s tennis, beach volleyball, and volleyball will be receiving their degrees during the commencement ceremony.
