USC Secures Commitment of Top-Ranked 2026 Washington Football Prospect, Derek Colman-Brusa

Derek Colman-Brusa, a four-star defensive lineman, receives offer from USC for 2026 recruiting class

USC football is making strides in their recruiting efforts with the recent offer to four-star 2026 Burien (Washington) defensive lineman Derek Colman-Brusa. Colman-Brusa, who stands at 6-foot-4 and weighs 230 pounds, is considered the top player in the state of Washington, the 156th overall prospect, and the 14th best edge rusher in the 247Sports composite rankings.

The Huskies have several notable programs offering them a scholarship, including California, Duke, Oregon, BYU, Utah, Washington, and Tennessee. However, USC is determined to win their fair share of battles in the race for top talent and secure Colman-Brusa’s commitment.

Colman-Brusa’s older brother Lowen Colman-Brusa is also a three-star recruit in the 2025 class as an offensive lineman. The brothers have expressed interest in attending Washington together and could be a potential package deal for the school. However, USC is also eager to secure their commitment and prevent Washington from further establishing itself in the Big Ten Conference.

The loss of several players from the 2023 roster has left Washington undergoing significant changes as they enter a transitional 2024 season under first-year head coach Jedd Fisch. USC’s recruitment efforts play a crucial role in shaping the landscape of the conference and solidifying their position as a force to be reckoned with in college football.
