The Tulsa World is once again honoring the top high school athletes in the Tulsa area by presenting the All-World Awards for winter sports. This year, finalists for boys and girls swimming will be announced on Wednesday, followed by boys and girls wrestling on Thursday, boys basketball on Friday, and girls basketball on Saturday. The World’s All-State boys and girls basketball teams will be announced on Sunday.
Last fall, athlete of the year finalists in football, cross country, volleyball, and softball were recognized. For the 2023-24 season, the All-World honors will be awarded in several sports including football, softball, volleyball, girls cross country, and boys cross country. In early June, finalists for spring sports will be announced along with winners of specialty awards such as best comeback, inspirational athletes, scholar athletes and a lifetime achievement award recipient.
The winners for athlete of the year in each sport will be revealed at the eighth annual All-World Awards presented by Bill Knight Automotive at Cox Business Convention Center’s Legacy Hall on June 20th.
