The Chianti Wine Consortium is set to continue its “Chianti lovers Asian Tour 2024” in Thailand and Vietnam. Two institutional seminars with tastings of the main categories, styles, and sub-areas of the Chianti DOCG denomination will be held in these countries, following events in Tokyo/Seoul and participation in the Vinexpo Asia 2024 in Hong Kong.

The first seminar will take place on June 25th at the Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit, where 64 labels will be present. The focus will be on the typology of Chianti DOCG Riserva, with wine educators and ambassadors conducting the seminar. On June 27th, the Consortium will move to Vietnam and host an event at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Ho Chi Minh, with 67 labels present. The seminar will focus on Vin Santo del Chianti DOC and will be conducted by wine experts. Both events will also include “walk around tasting” sessions open to importers, operators in the sector, and the press.

Giovanni Busi, president of the Chianti Wine Consortium, highlights the increasing interest in Chianti wine and its role as an ambassador for Italian wine worldwide.
