Treylon Burks, the first-round pick in 2022, has not met the high expectations for productivity so far. However, his teammates have been very supportive of him this offseason. DeAndre Hopkins, who played with Burks last year, expressed confidence in the young wide receiver’s abilities. Hopkins praised the Titans’ receiver group as the best he’s been a part of, and new addition Calvin Ridley spoke highly of Burks, comparing him to greats like A.J. Brown, Julio Jones, and Terrell Owens, predicting a bright future for him.
The Titans also signed Tyler Boyd this offseason, adding another talented player to the group that Burks has been learning from. Burks shared that he has enjoyed learning from all these players during the offseason and appreciates the positive feedback and encouragement they have been providing. Having seasoned veterans ask him questions and provide feedback has been both helpful and enjoyable for him.
While there is always optimism surrounding players during offseason workouts and training camps, not all breakthroughs materialize on the field. Burks and the Titans are hopeful that the positive anticipation surrounding him this offseason will translate into success on the field as he continues to grow and develop as a player.
