Unstoppable: Laurel River Wins $12 Million Dubai World Cup by 8.5 Lengths

Laurel River Cruises Sails to Victory in Dubai World Cup Triumph

Laurel River made history by winning the $12 million Dubai World Cup (G1) at Meydan Racecourse with an incredible 8 1/2 length victory. The Juddmonte Farm homebred led from start to finish in the race, ridden flawlessly by Tadhg O’Shea and trained by Bhupat Seemar. This win marked O’Shea and Seemar’s second victory of the day, following their success in the Dubai Golden Shaheen (G1) earlier in the card with Tuz.

Laurel River, a 6-year-old son of Into Mischief, previously trained by Bob Baffert, took control of the race from the 12 post position and never looked back. He crossed the finish line in an impressive time of 2:02.31 for the 2,000 meters distance. Despite a competitive field, last year’s Dubai World Cup winner Ushba Tesoro closed from behind to secure second place, finishing just ahead of Saudi Cup (G1) winner Senor Buscador in third.

The victory was a remarkable performance by Laurel River in one of the most prestigious races in the world, cementing his status as a notable contender in the racing world. Stay tuned for updates on this exciting race.
