The Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber is hosting its annual Regional Healthcare Symposium on May 9 at Grounds for Sculpture in Trenton. This year’s theme is “Minding Your Mind: The Intersectionality of Nutrition and Mental Health.” The event aims to provide attendees with valuable insights, lessons learned, and discussions on future trends in the health care industry.

The keynote speaker for the event is Greg Paulson, CEO of Trenton Health Team. Paulson will explore the evolving understanding of our relationship with food, touching on topics such as access to food, food security, and misconceptions about food insecurity. After the keynote presentation, Matt Micelette, vice president of clinical operations at NeuroFlow, will lead a panel discussion on the emotional dimensions of dietary choices and their impact on mental health.

The panel will feature Barbara Mintz from RWJBarnabas Health, Megan Moran from Penn Medicine Princeton Center for Eating Disorders, and Corina Palagruto from Capital Health Wellness Center. In addition to the panel discussion, attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to support individuals and families facing food insecurity in the community. The chamber has partnered with Mercer Street Friends to host a food drive at the symposium.

Sponsors for the symposium include Grounds for Sculpture, Bristol Myers Squibb, NJM Insurance Group, Novo Nordisk, and others. The event is open to both chamber members and nonmembers. For more information about the symposium or how to register attendance or sponsorship visit the Chamber’s website
