The Hampton Roads community is home to many individuals and organizations that are making a significant impact in the field of health care. Each year, Inside Business honors these outstanding individuals and organizations through its Health Care Heroes program. The goals of this program are to recognize excellence, promote innovation, encourage replication of successful programs, educate the public, enhance the quality of health care, and give recognition to those who deserve it.
This year, Inside Business is proud to salute 19 individuals and teams who are continuing to innovate in their respective fields and find solutions to complex community challenges. Among the honorees are individuals such as Brian Anderson, Dr. John Baker, Phyllita Bolden, Dr. Anthony Cetrone, Dr. Wilson File, Dr. Ronald W. Flenner, Harriet Miller, Dr. Michele Nedelka, and many others. These individuals and teams are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the Hampton Roads community through their innovative work and dedication to excellence.
The panel of judges for this year’s awards ceremony includes Dr. Michael G. Charles, Kathryn Barrett, and Carri Folwaczny, who bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the selection process. The 2024 Health Care Heroes Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, June 25 from 8-10 a.m. at The Westin Virginia Beach Town Center
