Uniting for Lunar Surface Science: The Virtual Lunar Surface Science Workshop 24

On August 20, 2024, the Virtual Lunar Surface Science Workshop 24 will take place with the goal of bringing together scientific and technical professionals from a wide range of disciplines. This includes physical sciences, space biology, human biomedical sciences, fundamental physics, astrobiology, astrophysics, and heliophysics.

Researchers at all levels are invited to participate in this virtual workshop. Key stakeholders will deliver presentations, there will be posters and breakout discussions to gather community input. The objective is to enhance NASA’s understanding of the research community’s perspective on scientific drivers and capabilities required for lunar surface habitat research facilities that facilitate scientific and commercial activities.

Abstract submissions are welcome until June 21, 2024 at 5:00 p.m CDT. Submitted abstracts should address topics such as Physical Sciences, Space Biology, Human Biomedical Sciences, Fundamental Physics, Astrobiology, Astrophysics and Heliophysics. Registration for the workshop is required but no registration fees are being collected for the LSSW sessions. After registration attendees will receive an email from Houston Meeting Info with virtual connection details. Registration will remain open until August 20th , 2024 .
