NBC4 and Besa are excited to announce the return of their Summer of Giving campaign in Columbus, Ohio. The kickoff event will take place on June 27th from 11:30 to 12:30, with a focus on volunteering and community support.
Leveling the Playing Field, an organization dedicated to making team sports accessible to all children, will be featured prominently during this event. Founder Eric Rutkowski emphasizes the importance of volunteers in helping sort and organize equipment for distribution. Without the support of the community, this effort would not be possible.
As part of the campaign, Leveling the Playing Field is collecting donations of sports equipment that will be distributed to those in need. While they have enough equipment for now, Rutkowski encourages everyone to consider donating their gently used gear. Your contribution can have a significant impact on the lives of children who dream of playing sports but lack the resources to do so.
