Uniting for Better Mental Health: Tulsa Tech’s UniteCare Conference Tackles Oklahoma’s Mental Health Challenges

Free Mental Health Conference aims to enhance mental health resources in Oklahoma

Tulsa Tech’s Lemley Memorial Campus will host the first Annual UniteCare Conference on April 4th and 5th. The two-day event aims to bring together mental health and caregiving professionals for a Community Collaboration Conference.

The conference is focused on best practices in mental health care and is intended for mental health care professionals, caregivers, and advocates looking to improve the mental health system in Oklahoma. With over half a million adults suffering from mental health conditions and many not receiving help due to various barriers, there is a clear need for improved mental health services in the state.

The UniteCare Conference seeks to address this issue by providing attendees with the knowledge and tools to support individuals struggling with mental health issues. Workshops at the conference will cover topics such as substance use disorders, self-care, and grief, among others. The goal is to empower local caregivers and community members to collaborate on solutions and tackle mental health challenges in their communities.

The conference will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day and is sponsored by Transformations, TulsaTech, Patriot Family Counseling Services, CREOKS, and the Mental Health Association of Oklahoma. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn and collaborate at the UniteCare Conference!
