Recently, United Way of Marquette County held a Business After Hours event at the Ore Dock Brewing Company in Marquette, Michigan. This networking occasion allowed professionals to connect with others in the business community, socialize with colleagues and make valuable business contacts. Attendees were advised to bring several business cards to exchange with prospective connections.
Andrew Rickauer, the Executive Director of United Way of Marquette County, stated that the event was an expression of the organization’s campaign and a collaboration with their Media Consortium. This alliance brought together media partners and local nonprofits that they support, fundraise for and work closely with. The event aimed to exhibit the influence that United Way has on the community and create a sense of unity among attendees to collectively contribute towards improving the community.
