United Airlines Upgrades Its Business Class Dessert Menu with Tillamook Ice Cream and Customizable Sundaes starting June 1st

Enjoy United’s New Business Class Option to Customize Your Own Ice Cream Sundae

United Airlines is introducing new ice cream and dessert options for its long-haul business class passengers starting June 1. The airline has faced complaints of inconsistent quality with the previous ice cream offerings at different stations, so they have replaced variable options with Tillamook vanilla bean and strawberry ice cream.

Passengers in Polaris and premium transcontinental cabins can also enjoy a strawberry shortcake sundae with toppings like strawberry compote, shortcake, Biscoff crumbles, and whip cream. The new ice cream and dessert options will be available on long-haul international flights and flights between Newark and Los Angeles or San Francisco departing after 9:45 a.m.

United Airlines’ Polaris business class originally offered build-your-own ice cream sundaes as a feature eight years ago, but the airline faced challenges with bowls cracking. Despite some cutbacks in the business class food offerings since then, ice cream carts returned early last year. The airline hopes that the new ice cream flavors will be well-received by passengers and is looking forward to feedback on the quality of the new desserts served on board.

Fans of Tillamook may associate the brand with cheese, but the airline is confident that its new ice cream offerings will delight passengers. United has made efforts to enhance the dining experience for its premium customers, and the introduction of new ice cream flavors is just one example of those ongoing improvements. Passengers can now enjoy a refreshing and customizable dessert option while flying in style on United’s business class flights.
