Union-Endicott High School’s STEAM Night: Showcasing the Future of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math

Annual STEAM Night hosted by Union-Endicott’s technology and engineering department

The technology and engineering department at Union-Endicott High School recently hosted their annual Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) night. The event aimed to educate students, friends, and family about the global economy’s importance in these fields. One of the highlights of the night was a speech given by 1995 Union-Endicott graduate and General Motors Senior Manager, Jamie Greco.

Greco discussed various career paths available in STEAM fields and emphasized the significance of further education after high school. Attendees had the opportunity to try out a flight simulator and view projects created by students in welding, custom metal signs, and carpentry classes. Freshman Joe Chicuorka showcased his work on refurbished fire truck.

The technology department at Union-Endicott High School was recognized with the New York State Technology Education & Engineering Association Program of Excellence Award during STEAM night. This prestigious award from the New York State Technology & Engineering Educators Association is a testament to the quality of education provided by this department.

Overall, STEAM night was a success in showcasing how science, technology, engineering, art and math have an impact on our world through presentations, hands-on activities and student work displays.
