Unfortunate Stabbing Incident at Buffalo Psychiatric Center Leaves Staff Injured; AI Technology Provides Mental Health Support to Veterans

Patient attacks 3 staff members with knife at mental health facility in Buffalo

At around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, a stabbing incident occurred inside the Strozzi Building of the Buffalo Psychiatric Center campus in north Buffalo. During the attack, three staff members were injured by a patient.

The Office of Mental Health is currently assisting the Buffalo Police Department in their investigation of the incident. Their top priority is the safety of their staff and the individuals they serve, and they have expressed concern for the injured employees and their families.

Local media outlets reported that the stabbing took place shortly after 9 a.m., resulting in two men and one woman being injured. The injured staff members were transported to a hospital, with one of them believed to be in serious condition. The suspect involved in the stabbing was taken into custody by authorities.
