Sasha Vezenkov had a short-lived tenure with the Kings, but he expressed appreciation for his unforgettable experience in Sacramento. After just one NBA season with the Kings, Vezenkov was traded to the Toronto Raptors and took to Instagram to thank the organization, his teammates, and Kings fans for their support. Despite not meeting his expectations during his rookie season with the Kings due to limited playing time and frustrations with his role, Vezenkov’s transition to the NBA did not deter him from remembering where his journey began with the Kings.
Vezenkov’s successful career in the EuroLeague included a EuroLeague MVP campaign in 2023. However, as he navigates the uncertainty of what lies ahead in Toronto or elsewhere, one thing is certain – Vezenkov will always remember where his NBA journey began with the Kings.
Alongside Davion Mitchell and Jamal Shead, Vezenkov was traded to the Raptors in exchange for Jalen McDaniels during last week’s NBA draft. Although Vezenkov’s time in Sacramento may not have gone as planned, it doesn’t mean that his future won’t be successful.
