Club Tijuana of Liga MX has acquired 28-year-old midfielder Emanuel Reynoso from Minnesota United for an undisclosed fee. This move opens up both a designated player and international slot for the Loons ahead of the summer transfer window. Reynoso, who is from Argentina, was an MLS All-Star for the Loons in 2022 and had impressive stats with 24 goals and 37 assists in 95 career MLS games. However, he has only played 30 minutes this season and faced criticism from the team after missing a key green card appointment by going back to Argentina and taking nearly two months to return. Despite this, Loons chief soccer officer Khaled El-Ahmad thanked Reynoso for his contributions on the field and wished him the best in the future. This was not the first time Reynoso faced issues with the team, as he had a long absence at the start of last season. The Loons ultimately decided it was time to move on from Reynoso, leading to his transfer to Club Tijuana.
