UNDP introduces training programs for skilled workforce and sustainable green economy

The UNDP Libya has collaborated with the Libyan Korean Centre and local stakeholders to introduce five training programs that aim to develop a skilled workforce capable of supporting a sustainable greener economy in Libya. These programs focus on areas such as energy assessment and innovative building, recycling skills, municipal waste management, environmental health and safety, and circular economy entrepreneurship.

This initiative is part of the UNDP’s Local Peacebuilding and Resilience efforts aimed at promoting job creation for the youth population in Libya. The training programs are being implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Rehabilitation, with support from the Republic of Korea.

Through this initiative, the UNDP hopes to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute to a greener economy in Libya. These programs not only create job opportunities but also promote sustainable practices and environmental conservation in the country. By collaborating with local partners, the UNDP aims to build a better future for Libya by investing in its human capital and promoting economic growth.
