The highly sought-after safety DJ Pickett is currently the top uncommitted player on LSU’s 2025 recruiting board. A five-star recruit from Zephyrhills, Florida, he is set to make his final decision within the next two weeks on July 17. His top four schools include LSU, Georgia, Oregon, and Miami.
On3 has ranked Pickett as the No. 6 player in the nation and the top player in Florida. During his official visit to LSU on May 31, it seemed that LSU had the momentum in his recruitment process. However, after a busy month of visiting other finalists, it appears that the race is now open wide for Pickett’s attention. There are no clear crystal ball projections for him at this time.
Despite this uncertainty, LSU still holds a slight lead in the recruiting prediction machine according to On3. Miami and Oregon are also continuing to push hard for Pickett’s commitment. Stay tuned to find out which school will ultimately secure his services on July 17th.
