Russia’s representative at the UN Security Council refers to Israel as “West Jerusalem”

On Wednesday, May 29, the UN Security Council held a meeting to discuss a draft resolution proposed by Algeria that called for an immediate cessation of Israel’s operation in Rafah. During this meeting, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Anna Evstigneeva urged Israel to stop what she referred to as war crimes against the Palestinians. She also condemned the airstrike on the IDP camp in Rafah and demanded strict adherence to international humanitarian law, stating that attacks on UN personnel and humanitarian workers are unacceptable.

Meanwhile, US Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Robert Wood expressed skepticism about the effectiveness of another UN resolution in addressing the situation in the Gaza Strip. He emphasized the importance of negotiations for the release of Israelis held by Hamas and urged Israel to do more to protect civilians in Gaza and increase the flow of humanitarian aid to the region. Wood underscored that civilian casualties undermine Israel’s strategic goals in Gaza.

In between these discussions at the UN Security Council, various social media profiles related to digital marketing, e-commerce, and social issues are active, sharing content and engaging with audiences.
