Uganda Squad for T20 World Cup 2024 Includes 43-Year-Old Player Frank Nsubuga

Uganda has been chosen to participate in the 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup, which will take place in the USA and the West Indies. This is a historic moment for the country, as it marks their first time participating in a World Cup. The squad will be led by Brian Masaba, who will serve as captain. Among the team members is Frank Nsubuga, who is set to be the oldest player in the tournament at 43 years old.

Riazat Ali Shah has been named as the vice-captain of the team, with Ronald Lutaaya and Innocent Mwebaze serving as traveling reserve players. Uganda and Namibia were two of the teams that qualified for the T20 World Cup from Africa, beating out teams such as Zimbabwe.

The team has been placed in Group C for the tournament alongside Afghanistan, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and the West Indies. Their first match will be against Afghanistan on June 4th in Providence, Guyana. The squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup includes players like Kenneth Waiswa, Dinesh Nakrani, and Ronak Patel among others.
