UFL Linebacker Willie Harvey Jr. Set for Workout with Dallas Cowboys: Could Join NFL Ranks After Impressive Season in the UFL

Cowboys Set to Train with UFL Linebacker Willie Harvey Jr.

UFL linebacker Willie Harvey Jr. is set to hold a workout with the Dallas Cowboys, according to a report from Tom Pelissero of NFL Media. Harvey, who is 28 years old, recently earned a spot on the All-UFL team after an impressive season with the St. Louis Battlehawks. In just 10 games, he recorded 78 tackles, four sacks, nine tackles for loss, six passes defensed, and two forced fumbles – leading the league in several categories for linebackers.

Despite his success in the UFL, Harvey has yet to play on defense in a regular-season NFL game. He entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Cleveland Browns in 2019 and spent three seasons with the team, primarily contributing on special teams. Harvey appeared in four games for the Browns, recording two tackles in 48 special teams snaps.

The Cowboys are currently looking to add depth at their linebacker position and are considering giving Harvey a chance during his workout on Tuesday. If he impresses during the session, this could potentially lead to a roster spot for him with the team.
