UFC CEO Dana White Addresses Challenges of Managing Khamzat Chimaev’s Health and Career

Dealing with Khamzat Chimaev’s health issues proves challenging

UFC CEO Dana White recently acknowledged the challenges of managing the career of Khamzat Chimaev. Despite his impressive debut in 2020, where he won three fights in just 66 days, Chimaev has only fought four times in the last 45 months due to recurring health issues.

White expressed his frustration during an interview on “The Jim Rome Show,” explaining that Chimaev’s bouts of illness have made it difficult to get him into the octagon. However, despite these challenges, White remains hopeful for Chimaev’s recovery and future in the UFC.

Chimaev’s manager, Majdi Shammas, has been working hard to keep him motivated and focused on his return to action.
