UBS Bolsters Technology Team in US with Key Hires and Departures

UBS boosts its technology dealmaking team by hiring a duo from Barclays and Cowen

UBS is expanding its technology team in the US with new hires aimed at enhancing its coverage of the sector and improving its ranking in the region. The bank has appointed Kevin Cullinane as a managing director within its technology, media, and telecommunications team. He will start in July and report to Laurence Braham, the global co-head of technology in New York. UBS has also brought on William Burns as a managing director in TMT, who will be based in San Francisco and report to Neil Meyer, the global co-head of media and telecoms at the Swiss bank. Burns comes from TD Cowen, where he was a senior dealmaker. Ryan Lund, who was previously global head of technology banking, is set to join Houlihan Lokey, while John Jansen, head of technology M&A, has left. In Europe, former Credit Suisse executive Orazio Tarda joined UBS but recently announced his departure to Nomura to lead its technology, media, and services banking team. These changes reflect the competitive nature of the investment banking industry and the dynamic landscape in which UBS operates.
