The Ask Us service was launched in 2018 with an automated chatbot on the U.ae platform, integrating AI capabilities in 2022. An enhanced version of the platform was launched in May 2023, followed by an updated Ask Us version in July of the same year. The second phase of the platform aims to leverage AI on government websites in line with the unified design system for UAE government sites.
Accessible on both computers and mobile devices, Ask Us caters to tourists, new residents, and citizens seeking quick information on various topics. It has witnessed increased interaction rates and audience satisfaction, with the U.ae portal attracting around 2 million visitors monthly, boasting a high acceptance rate of 99.7%. The platform aligns with the UAE government’s vision to enhance public service delivery using AI, setting a precedent for digital governance at local and regional levels.
