The Greco-Roman team in Turkey is led by three U.S. Olympic Team Trials champions and U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program teammates: Dalton Roberts at 60 kg, Ellis Coleman at 67 kg, and Kamal Bey at 77 kg.

In the opening round of the competition, Roberts will face Viktor Petryk of Ukraine, who was a bronze medalist at the 2021 European Championships and has competed at three Senior World Championships. If Roberts wins his first match, he may face a rematch with No. 1 seed Gevorg Gharibyan of Armenia in the quarterfinals.
