Tyler Nubin Signs with Giants and Looks to Take Over Secondary Role Amid New Opportunities

Giants ink deal with second-round pick Tyler Nubin

On Friday, the Giants completed their week by finalizing their draft class signings with safety Tyler Nubin becoming the last of their six picks to agree to a deal. The second-round pick signed a four-year contract with the NFC East team.

During his time at Minnesota, Nubin played 55 games and made 43 starts. He set a school record with 13 interceptions as a Golden Gopher and also recorded 207 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, 24 passes defensed, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.

With Xavier McKinney no longer on the team, Nubin has a clear path to a starting job in the Giants secondary. His performance in preseason will be crucial in determining whether he remains in that role, as any mistakes could quickly impact his position on the depth chart.
