Two Rivers is experiencing growth and development, with more exciting projects on the horizon. Elizabeth Runge, Community Development Director, has stated that this is just the latest in a series of developments taking place in the city.
Melissa Nyssen and her sister are planning to open the Violet Inn, a spa and hotel in downtown Two Rivers. Nyssen is excited about the growth potential that she sees in the city, emphasizing the branding efforts and new businesses that are emerging. The city is supporting the project with funding, and the new inn is expected to attract visitors to downtown Two Rivers.
According to Runge, the growth extends beyond downtown, with the Woodland Industrial Park also experiencing an influx of new businesses. She emphasized the importance of having a well-rounded portfolio of industrial and retail sectors to cultivate a healthy city. Nyssen hopes to finalize plans for the Violet Inn by June and open its doors in early 2025, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to share the experience with others.
The hotel is just one of several developments happening in Two Rivers. The Hamilton property is currently undergoing DNR testing on a 12.5-acre plot of land, and if everything goes according to plan, there may be more waterfront stories in the city’s future.
