TÜV SÜD Certifies Cosber Technology’s Smart H2 Energy Platform for Self-Sufficient Building Energy Supply

Certification of Cosber Technology’s Hydrogen Power Cubes (HPC) by TÜV SÜD

Cosber Technology, a leading manufacturer of vehicle testing equipment and developer of innovative solutions for sustainable and secure energy supply, has received three certificates from TÜV SÜD. One of their latest innovations is the Smart H2 Energy Platform, which offers an integrated solution for self-sufficient energy supply of buildings using hydrogen. The platform’s key components include the Hydrogen Power Cubes (HPC), which consist of an AEM electrolyzer, hydrogen storage unit, fuel cell power generation system, power inverter system, and heat exchange system.

TÜV SÜD Korea’s Head of Industry Service, Dr. Helge Knobbe, expressed that certifying the HPCs and their components was a challenging task that required an interdisciplinary team. Testing was done based on regulations such as the Machinery Directive 2023/1230, Pressure Equipment Directive 2024/68/EU, and EMC Directive 2014/30/EU for electromagnetic compatibility. After successful testing, TÜV SÜD recently delivered Safety Risk Assessment Reports and certificates for the HPC-1000 Plus and HPC-3000 Plus to Cosber.

TÜV SÜD has significant experience and expertise in hydrogen technologies and oversees the entire hydrogen value chain from production to application in various areas. They offer support and guidance throughout the certification process to ensure that products meet European standards.
