Turkish Star Zeki Celik’s Future Uncertain as Galatasaray Reignite Interest

Celik Sparks Renewed Interest from Galatasaray for Roma Right Back

Roma right back Zeki Celik is once again attracting interest from Galatasaray. The Turkish fullback has struggled for consistent playing time at Roma this season under both Jose Mourinho and Daniele De Rossi, only featuring in 17 Serie A matches. With just 663 minutes of action, Celik has failed to make a convincing impact in the Italian capital.

According to reports in Corriere dello Sport, Galatasaray are keen to bring Celik back to Turkey and have reignited their interest in signing him. They were unable to reach an agreement with Roma in January but are now looking to finalize a deal in the upcoming transfer window. The 27-year-old has two years remaining on his contract at Roma.

Roma are hoping to earn around €7m from Celik’s sale, with 15% of the fee going to Lille due to a future resale clause. As Galatasaray look to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season, Celik could be making a move back to his home country in the coming weeks.
