Lake Fenton softball secures clean sweep against Montrose

In a thrilling match-up, Lake Fenton defeated Montrose twice, with scores of 6-5 in eight innings and 7-3. In the first game, losing pitcher Lainey Cannon struck out an impressive 16 batters, while Mya Wiggins hit a home run and brought in four RBIs. Cannon also led Montrose in the second game with three hits, supported by Rachel Hillard and Kyla Deloney with two hits each, and Kylee Stroup contributing two RBIs.

Meanwhile, in baseball action, Yale defeated Imlay City 11-1, with Sam Edson securing the lone hit for Imlay City. Mt. Morris faced a tough day, dropping both games of a doubleheader to Chesaning, with scores of 9-1 and 15-1. Chesaning’s Nash Wendling impressed with one hit allowed and six strikeouts in the second game.

In soccer, Swartz Creek defeated Owosso 4-0, with goalkeeper Adeline Mahoney making 18 saves for Owosso. In golf, Lake Fenton triumphed over Holly with a score of 153 to 179, led by Ryan Pribble and Ryan Lukowski shooting 40 each. Flushing also had a strong showing, with Garrett Morrison shooting
