Venu Sports Appoints Tony Billetter, Former Apple/Disney Executive, as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Planning

The new joint venture streaming service from Disney, Fox Corp., and Warner Bros. Discovery is set to launch in fall 2024. Venu Sports, the newly formed partnership of these major media companies, has hired Tony Billetter, a former Apple executive, as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Planning. Billetter brings extensive experience from his time at Apple and Disney, where he held roles in business strategy and planning.

Billetter will be working alongside Pete Distad, the CEO of Venu Sports, who previously managed Apple TV+ and Hulu’s business operations. Distad was appointed as CEO of the joint venture in March. Jessica Casano-Antonellis, a former executive from SiriusXM and Disney’s streaming group communications, has also joined Venu Sports as Senior Vice President of Communications.

The three media giants, Disney, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery, recently announced Venu Sports as the name of the venture. The streaming service will combine ESPN+ with their various sports programming networks like ABC, ESPN
